Grand Discover XL Paver Patio Built for Rosemount Backyard

This Rosemount patio is a great example of what happens when you pair a premium product with solid craftsmanship. We used Grand Discover XL pavers for the main field - large-format slabs in a light grey tone that give the whole space a clean, modern feel. The dark charcoal border runs the full perimeter and ties everything together without being overdone.

What makes these pavers worth talking about is the Sentinel pre-seal technology built right into them. Most pavers need time to cure before you can seal them, and even then you're adding that step yourself later. With Sentinel, the protection is already there from day one. Spills, dirt, grime - it all wipes up easier and doesn't get a chance to work its way in.

The steps are one of our favorite details on this build. Three wide, dark-capped steps lead from the door down to the patio surface. They're solid, well-proportioned, and finished to match the border - nothing looks like an afterthought. That kind of consistency between the steps and the main patio is something we always pay attention to.

For homeowners in Minnesota, having a surface that can handle freeze-thaw cycles without cracking or staining over time genuinely matters. A paver patio done right will outlast a poured concrete slab in our climate - and it looks a lot better doing it. Choosing the right product from the start saves you the headache of resealing every couple of years or dealing with surface wear down the road.

If you've been on the fence about pulling the trigger on a backyard patio, this is the kind of result you can expect when the product and the installation are both done right. We're happy to walk you through what a build like this would look like for your own space.
