Got a much needed mulch refresh and filling of leftover post holes from a previous fence. They did a great job and looks a lot cleaner now.
Call mid day after a heavy storm. He fit me in even tho he had been out at 3am. I was never going to be able to shovel myself out. So grateful they graciously fit me in despite being so exhausted and having such a packed day.

We heard about R&A landscaping through some friends who had a great experience and decided to try them out. These guys are awesome! They took on our landscape project that involved installing a flagstone patio in an under-utilized area of our yard. They removed all the old landscaping, properly prepared the area for a patio, installed the flagstone and planted numerous new grasses and bushes for us. It turned out great so we had them do another landscaping project in our backyard too. Highly recommend them as they were timely, did a great job keeping everything clean and tidy while working and were a pleasure to work with.
They came out to clear my driveway. It was a huge help, they did a great job and communication and price were good!

I have been using R&A Lawn and Landscape for two seasons. They do a great job! On lawn mowing and also on any other yard projects. They expanded the stone around my tree out front, trimmed up multiple bushes as well as removing a few. They are receptive to my requests and I definitely recommend their service!

Aaron from R&A Landscaping has been helping me clean up the wooded area at the back of my lot - taking away brush, buckthorn, and other invasive trees. This week, they cut down the last of small diameter trees identified by a forester from Dakota County as invasive and good to have removed. Aaron is quick to respond to my requests and provides quotes and follow up for any items to ensure my satisfaction. Fun to take on this project with their help! We recently had R&A do a commercial project for us that involved 6 stepped retaining walls at 3 separate entrances with associated plantings, rock, and irrigation drip lines for the various shrubs. Ryan, Austin, and their team were great to work with and we would hire them again without hesitation. Nice, enterprising young guys, flexible to our needs, and very good to work with. Wishing them well with great success in their endeavors in the future!
What a fantastic experience! Took a chance on calling them after I saw their sign in my neighborhood. So glad I did. I had them out to do some dethatching(a chore I despise) and I couldn't have been more pleased with how it turned out. They came on time, and went above and beyond by putting seed down on the areas that needed it at no charge. I am already planning on what I can have them do next for me. Highly recommend and would choose again and again. Great first experience!

Great crew! Fantastic young men. They worked hard on our project and were receptive to the minor changes we threw at them. Their work is excellent, their character is impeccable. When the work was completed, we missed having them around. We had two jobs: landscape wall for our gazebo project and repair of our paver patio. Both jobs exceeded our expectations.

I reached out to Austin at R&A Lawn and Landscape, and he was incredibly helpful—stepping in and taking over the project to my great relief. Despite the weather turning against him, he finished the job on time, and the end result is a beautiful sitting area that we absolutely love. Highly recommend!

I hired R&A to clean up and reset a poorly sealed paver walkway and patio. We discussed specific areas of need and they went to work. I am very happy with the quality and work ethic. Several times I saw them redoing and refining the work they were doing. Terrific attention to detail. Very happy with the end product.
Family was on vacation and their lawn was growing quickly. R A Landscaping in Apple Valley MN was across the street and asked if they would have time to mow our yard. They were super nice and came back out later that day to mow and trim. My family was thrilled mowing wasn’t their first priority upon coming home. Ryan and Austin have done my lawn for the past several years. My fence has a gate that isn't wide enough for a riding mower. All other companies told me I had to mow my backyard and they'd do only the front. Ryan and Austin said they'd use a regular mower for my backyard and the riding mower for the front! I also have an Inground pool and they always blow off all weed whacked grass from the deck surrounding it and nothing is ever is left on the cover! I highly recommend Ryan and Austin! Add-on Nov 29: Ryan and Austin also do an incredible job with fall clean up! I have dogwoods and rocks along two sides of my backyard as well as rock on both sides of the driveway and everything was blown out and taken away! Thanks for the great job you've done on my yard this year! I'll be contracting with you again in 2026!

We hired R&A Lawn and Landscape to plant arborvitae in our backyard to create a natural privacy screen from the park. They did an amazing job — the crew was fast, friendly, and affordable, and they cleaned up so well you’d never know they’d been there! We added some solar lights to the final setup in the evening, and it looks incredible. Highly recommend R&A if you want professional, hassle-free landscaping.
Austin and his crew stayed to the proposed timeframe. They communicated very well when extra charges were needed. They were able to provide the actual result from what I had envisioned in my mind.
We had Austin and Ryan come out and redo the worn out and overgrown landscaping in the front and side of the house. Austin did a great job helping us design it and pick the plants and Ryan did a great job making sure that the job was done on time and how we wanted it. We also had them widen the driveway with pavers and it looks amazing. Their bid was competitive and we were very happy with how everything looks. I am going to have them out next summer to try and get my lawn back in shape.

We completed a home addition and were looking for a landscape company to clean up and remove some of the old grass, install topsoil, and do finishing grading for sod placement. I contacted R&A after getting some sticker-shock from some other local firms, as I saw one of their vehicles and noted they were locally-based in Inver Grove Heights. Austin came out and met with me, reviewed our yard, and provided a quote for the requested work, and also quoted the sod installation so I could compare it with other quotes. It was a much more reasonable price than others I had received, and Austin was willing to work with our schedule to complete the work by early-October so we could finish the sod before winter. They completed the work in a day, and did a great job, even working with (around) us as we self-performed sod installation. Even though they inadvertently damaged an irrigation head, they came back and repaired/replaced it the next morning. We’re very happy and thankful we got this work completed by R&A to wrap up our home project!

We embarked on a do it yourself project and after sod removal, edging and fabric install decided we needed help with the landscape rock. Based on Facebook reviews we contacted R&A. Austin responded to us and worked with us and our schedule. We purchased the rock and it was supposed to be delivered by noon the day of the job. Of course the rock showed up late and the guys couldn't start to after 2 PM. Jake and Tonnes were awesome; hardworking, polite young men. They did exactly as I asked and were extremely cautious in protecting my lawn, edging etc. it was very hot...I fed them lots of water and within 3 hours they had ~4 yards of river rock moved from the driveway and placed in the newly landscaped area. Overall a great experience!
Worked with the guys on a small project and they did a great job on the rock retaining wall. They responded right away to my inquiry and questions. Once I gave them the go ahead, they kept me in the loop as to the weather delays they were experiencing (rain tends to slow things down and we had a bunch lately!) and when they were expecting to be out to get it done. Over all a very good experience with them and would recommend giving them a call.
